Aluminium composite panels
Alucobond, Reynobond — PE or mineral A2 core, thickness 3-6 mm, format up to 4,000 mm. Extreme lightness (4-8 kg/m²), perfect rigidity. A2-s1,d0 rating for mineral cores.
Aluminium composite panels (Alucobond, Reynobond), folded cassettes, pre-coated steel slats, profiled sheets. Industrial precision, maximum durability, freedom of form. QUASART installs and specifies in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
Metal cladding represents the natural evolution of contemporary commercial and architectural facades. Structural lightness, chromed or pre-coated finishes, custom formats — metal offers an architectural freedom that few materials can match, from curved bending to laser perforation.
QUASART, based in Crauthem (L-3327), masters all metal facade systems: aluminium composite panels (Alucobond, Reynobond), folded aluminium cassettes, aluminium slats and pre-coated ArcelorMittal steel profiles. We work with Luxembourg manufacturers and merchants for large-scale projects, from Kirchberg to Belval.
Aluminium and steel offer finishes impossible to achieve with other materials.
QUASART works with the world references in aluminium and steel for facades.
The world’s most installed aluminium composite panel. PE core (economical) or mineral A2 (non-combustible). Formats up to 8,000 × 2,050 mm. Perfect flatness, record lightness (4-8 kg/m²). The reference for commercial facades.
Arconic (formerly Alcoa) aluminium composite panel. Premium alternative to Alucobond with exclusive architectural finishes — mirror effect, pearlescent, anodised. Mineral range certified A2 for fire-critical projects.
French manufacturer specialising in folded aluminium cassettes and sheets for facades. Custom production, controlled lead times, ideal geographical proximity for Luxembourg and Greater Region sites. Regular QUASART partner.
World’s leading steelmaker. Pre-coated steel sheets for profiles, cassettes and slats. Granite HDX range (40-year durability), Hairplus (brushed effect), Mat (velvety look). Economical solution for large industrial and logistics buildings.
Belgian specialist in integrated louvre and sun shading systems. Linarte range (design facade cladding), Linius (fixed or adjustable louvres), Icarus (motorised sun shading). Coated aluminium, zero maintenance.
Alucobond, Reynobond — PE or mineral A2 core, thickness 3-6 mm, format up to 4,000 mm. Extreme lightness (4-8 kg/m²), perfect rigidity. A2-s1,d0 rating for mineral cores.
Aluminium sheets 2-3 mm factory-folded — stiffening ribs, hidden rail fixing. Very fine dimensional tolerance. Ideal for curved facades and complex cladding.
Extruded aluminium profiles or pre-coated steel slats. Renson systems (integrated ventilation), ArcelorMittal. Widely used on commercial facades and contemporary collective housing.
Economical solution for industrial and logistics buildings — profiled or flat sheets, RAL coating. Thickness 0.6 to 1.5 mm. Interlocking or standing seam systems. Fast installation.
Over 200 RAL/NCS colours. PVDF coating (25-40 years), polyester (15-20 years), anodised (50+ years). Metallic, wood effect, concrete effect. Sandblasted, brushed, matt or gloss.
Aluminium is the material of choice for non-planar geometries. Custom bending, laser perforation, CNC cutting. Complex geometries are not an obstacle — QUASART relies on specialised engineering offices capable of producing the most demanding 3D layouts and piece developments.
Each metal system has its specific fixing method.
Flush aluminium or stainless steel rivets. Economical and fast solution. Individual replacement possible. Used mainly on steel profiles and composite panels in non-visible areas.
Economical · DemountableStainless or aluminium clips on T-section subframe. Perfectly smooth facade, no visible fixing element. Free thermal expansion. The standard for Alucobond and Reynobond composite panels.
Standard · PremiumFactory-folded cassettes with integrated fixing tabs. Clipped to subframe without piercing the visible facing. Allows complex geometries and dimensional adjustments.
Industrial · Complex geometriesMechanical edge seaming — used mainly for slats and watertight metal coverings. Perfect visual continuity. Technique from zinc roofing adapted to aluminium.
Watertight · Visual continuityEvery QUASART installation complies with current standards in Luxembourg and Europe.
French Technical Document applicable to applied metal cladding — subframe, fixings, ventilated air gap, expansion joints.
DTU specific to steel profiles and metal sheets in roofing and cladding. Pitches, laps, fixings, weathertightness.
Euroclass A2-s1,d0 for mineral core aluminium composites. Class A1 for solid aluminium. Determines use in high-rise and public buildings.
European standard for aluminium structural design. Basis for calculating facade subframes and fixings.
Specifications for aluminium alloy sheets and strips used in facades — mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances.
Ventilated metal cladding is compatible with RE 2020 and GPE Luxembourg — thermal performance is ensured by the underlying insulation and air gap.
Alucobond or Reynobond on office buildings — impeccable corporate image, PVDF coating 25-40 years. Mirror facades, anodised or matt effect depending on architectural intent.
Aluminium cassettes or Renson slats on residential schemes. Material interplay with wood or fibre cement. Layout compliant with building permit.
A2 composites mandatory on public-access buildings. Alucobond A2 or Reynobond Mineral certified. Impact and vandalism resistance.
ArcelorMittal Granite HDX steel profiles for long runs — fast installation, controlled cost, 40-year durability. Warehouse, showroom and business park cladding.
Aluminium does not age — it matures. Correctly installed, metal cladding crosses decades without being touched.QUASART — Philosophy of materials
Technical aspects, fire and applications
Alucobond PE (polyethylene) is the standard version — lightweight, economical, but fire rating E. Alucobond A2 contains a non-combustible mineral core, rated A2-s1,d0. A2 is mandatory for high-rise and public buildings above 8 m in France, and for buildings subject to enhanced fire regulations in Luxembourg.
Yes. Aluminium cladding has no thermal impact in itself — it is the underlying insulation that matters. A correctly dimensioned alu cladding + air gap + breather membrane + ETICS complex can meet low-energy, RE 2020 and Passivhaus requirements.
30 to 50 years under normal conditions. PVDF coatings guarantee colour stability for 25 to 40 years. Anodised aluminium offers the highest durability — 50+ years without maintenance. ArcelorMittal Granite HDX pre-coated steel is guaranteed for 40 years.
Very little. Cleaning with clear water once a year is sufficient for facades exposed to urban pollution. Anodised surfaces require no maintenance. Coated surfaces must never be cleaned with abrasive products.
Yes — it is one of the major advantages of aluminium composite. Bending is done in factory (min radius ~500 mm for 4 mm) or on site with specific equipment. QUASART relies on specialised partners for curved piece developments — no geometry is an obstacle.
Cost varies considerably by system: steel profiles 80-150 EUR/m², aluminium cassettes 150-280 EUR/m², Alucobond composites 180-320 EUR/m² (A2 more expensive than PE). Prices include subframe, insulation and installation. QUASART provides a precise quotation after study.
