Metal cladding represents the natural evolution of contemporary commercial and architectural facades. Structural lightness, chromed or pre-coated finishes, custom formats — metal offers an architectural freedom that few materials can match, from curved bending to laser perforation.
QUASART, based in Crauthem (L-3327), masters all metal facade systems: aluminium composite panels (Alucobond, Reynobond), folded aluminium cassettes, aluminium slats and pre-coated ArcelorMittal steel profiles. We work with Luxembourg manufacturers and merchants for large-scale projects, from Kirchberg to Belval.

Aluminium sheets 2-3 mm factory-folded — stiffening ribs, hidden rail fixing. Very fine dimensional tolerance. Ideal for curved facades and complex cladding.
Aluminium / steel slats
Extruded aluminium profiles or pre-coated steel slats. Renson systems (integrated ventilation), ArcelorMittal. Widely used on commercial facades and contemporary collective housing.
Pre-coated steel profiles
Economical solution for industrial and logistics buildings — profiled or flat sheets, RAL coating. Thickness 0.6 to 1.5 mm. Interlocking or standing seam systems. Fast installation.

Curved & perforated facades
Aluminium is the material of choice for non-planar geometries. Custom bending, laser perforation, CNC cutting. Complex geometries are not an obstacle — QUASART relies on specialised engineering offices capable of producing the most demanding 3D layouts and piece developments.

Technical aspects, fire and applications
Alucobond PE (polyethylene) is the standard version — lightweight, economical, but fire rating E. Alucobond A2 contains a non-combustible mineral core, rated A2-s1,d0. A2 is mandatory for high-rise and public buildings above 8 m in France, and for buildings subject to enhanced fire regulations in Luxembourg.
Yes. Aluminium cladding has no thermal impact in itself — it is the underlying insulation that matters. A correctly dimensioned alu cladding + air gap + breather membrane + ETICS complex can meet low-energy, RE 2020 and Passivhaus requirements.
30 to 50 years under normal conditions. PVDF coatings guarantee colour stability for 25 to 40 years. Anodised aluminium offers the highest durability — 50+ years without maintenance. ArcelorMittal Granite HDX pre-coated steel is guaranteed for 40 years.
Very little. Cleaning with clear water once a year is sufficient for facades exposed to urban pollution. Anodised surfaces require no maintenance. Coated surfaces must never be cleaned with abrasive products.
Yes — it is one of the major advantages of aluminium composite. Bending is done in factory (min radius ~500 mm for 4 mm) or on site with specific equipment. QUASART relies on specialised partners for curved piece developments — no geometry is an obstacle.
Cost varies considerably by system: steel profiles 80-150 EUR/m², aluminium cassettes 150-280 EUR/m², Alucobond composites 180-320 EUR/m² (A2 more expensive than PE). Prices include subframe, insulation and installation. QUASART provides a precise quotation after study.
