AI facade diagnosis

Cleaning, crack treatment, render, repainting — QUASART brings your facade back to new, and tells you honestly when it is smarter to insulate at the same time. Head office in Crauthem, coverage across the Grand Duchy and Moselle (France).
Cracks, crazing render, moss, pollution staining, render coming loose, faded colour: Luxembourg’s damp climate and thermal swings are hard on facades. A full facade renovation resets everything — properly done, it protects the masonry for fifteen to twenty years and transforms the look of the building; postponed, every year of waiting worsens water ingress and inflates the final bill.
QUASART delivers modern facade renovation in four steps: complete diagnosis of the substrate, adapted cleaning (low or high pressure, anti-moss treatment), structural repair (opening and filling cracks, replacing hollow-sounding render), then the finish — floated or scraped render, or a microporous siloxane paint that lets the wall breathe. We work on rendered and masonry facades of contemporary buildings; the restoration of heritage dressed stone is a specialist stonemason’s craft that we honestly leave to dedicated workshops.
Based in Crauthem (L-3327), we renovate facades across the Grand Duchy — from Luxembourg-City to Esch-sur-Alzette — and on the French side in Metz and Thionville, where ten-year facade renovation can be made mandatory by the municipality. Every project is covered by our AXA decennial insurance (policy 10/0214108). QUASART S.à r.l., Luxembourg Trade Register B253631.

Crack opening and treatment, removal of hollow render, mortar repairs, floated or scraped finishing render.
High-durability microporous siloxane paints — the facade breathes, water stays out, the colour lasts.
The scaffolding is up: the ideal moment to insulate externally and activate Klimabonus subsidies.
In France, facades must be kept in a good state of repair (article L.126-2 of the Construction Code). In municipalities covered by a prefectoral order — including renovation campaigns run in Metz —, the town hall can order owners to renovate their facade at least every ten years. QUASART operates in Metz and Thionville from Crauthem.
legifrance.gouv.fr →Financial support exists in Luxembourg for insulation works. If your facade renovation includes external thermal insulation, the myenergy programme (Klimabonus) may cover part of your investment, subject to current eligibility criteria. See myenergy.lu for your situation.
myenergy.lu →Every facade is unique, but here are honest orders of magnitude, excluding scaffolding: cleaning + repainting on a sound substrate, roughly 40 to 70 €/m²; full renovation with crack repair and finishing render, roughly 70 to 120 €/m²; renovation with external thermal insulation, roughly 150 to 250 €/m² before Klimabonus subsidies. The QUASART quote is free, itemised line by line, and always prices both scenarios — with and without insulation.
The unmistakable signs: visible cracks (even fine ones), crazing of the render, areas that sound hollow when tapped, persistent moss and algae, black pollution streaks, paint that blisters or chalks on touch. A facade needs renovation every 15 to 20 years on average. Waiting is expensive: an untreated crack lets water in, the water freezes, the crack widens — and a simple refresh becomes a structural repair.
A like-for-like renovation (same colour, same finish) is usually a simple declaration, but any change to the external appearance visible from public space — new colour, new render, added insulation — requires a building permit in most municipalities of the Grand Duchy. Rules vary from one municipality to another; QUASART points you to the right urban planning service and provides the technical documents for the application.
This is THE question to ask before signing. Scaffolding and substrate preparation are a large share of the fixed cost of a facade renovation. Combining them with external thermal insulation (ETICS) costs far less than doing both operations separately — and myenergy’s Klimabonus subsidies may fund part of the insulation. If your facade predates the 2000s and has never been insulated, the renovation + ETICS scenario always deserves a price. QUASART presents both options in every quote, without pushing.
No — and we prefer to say it clearly: the restoration of heritage dressed stone (stone cutting, stone replacement, lime repointing on listed buildings) is a specialist stonemason’s craft. QUASART works on rendered and masonry facades of contemporary buildings: cleaning, repairs, render, paint, insulation. If your project is exposed-stone heritage work, we will tell you at the first visit.
