The Klimabonus is the Luxembourg state support scheme for the energy refurbishment of dwellings. It co-finances insulation works on primary residences — lofts, walls, ground floors. Bio-sourced materials (wood fibre, cork, cellulose) benefit from a higher premium. The exact amounts depend on current eligibility criteria and are updated regularly by myenergy.lu. QUASART never presents itself as a certified Klimabonus partner — our role is to deliver a compliant installation and to provide the technical documentation needed for your file. The application itself is handled directly with myenergy.lu.

QUASART provides the technical documents needed for your file: calculated R-values, ACERMI data sheets of the certified insulation materials installed, compliant invoices, installation photographs, product traceability records. These documents are delivered as a package at the end of the project and can be submitted directly to myenergy.lu as part of your Klimabonus application. The application itself remains your responsibility — we never submit on behalf of the client.

The choice depends on the configuration of the building. ETICS (external thermal insulation) is the most effective solution for exposed facades and avoids any loss of internal floor area. Loft insulation offers the best cost-performance ratio for pitched roofs. Internal wall insulation (IWI) is appropriate when ETICS is not feasible — listed facades, party walls with neighbours, very thin plots. Bio-sourced ETICS (wood fibre) is favoured for heritage buildings and ecologically sensitive projects. QUASART carries out a free on-site diagnosis to guide your choice based on the substrate, the budget and the target R-value.

QUASART works exclusively with certified manufacturers: Rockwool (rock wool), STEICO (wood fibre), Knauf Insulation, ISOVER (glass wool), Recticel (PIR), PSE/EPS panels, cellulose, cork. Every material is ACERMI-certified and documented through product data sheets. The choice of material depends on the target R-value, the substrate, fire requirements, acoustic requirements and sustainability preferences. Bio-sourced materials (wood fibre, cork, cellulose) are favoured for heritage buildings and eco-minded clients.

Luxembourg regulatory R-values vary depending on the element: R ≥ 5.0 m²·K/W for lofts in new build, R ≥ 4.0 m²·K/W for lofts in refurbishment, R ≥ 3.7 m²·K/W for walls in refurbishment, R ≥ 2.5 m²·K/W for ground floors. QUASART guarantees compliance with these target values and provides the calculation notes and product data sheets needed to justify them. Where higher R-values are required by the Klimabonus or by architectural choice, our teams adjust the insulation thickness accordingly.

Yes. QUASART is insured by AXA under policy 10/0214108 for every insulation project — ETICS external insulation, lofts, internal wall insulation, ground floors, acoustic insulation. This ten-year decennial cover protects the insulation layer, the vapour barriers and the finishing layers against installation defects. Loft insulation typically takes one to three days depending on the surface. A complete ETICS with rendered finish takes three to six weeks including scaffolding, substrate preparation, insulation, mesh coat, primer and finishing render. Internal wall insulation takes one to two weeks per level. Every project is studied individually, with a precise planning window communicated in the quotation. We never commit to a deadline we cannot hold, and we keep clients informed at every stage.
