Understanding insulation grants in Luxembourg — conditions, eligible works, procedures. Objective, up-to-date information from QUASART.
The Klimabonus programme is the Luxembourg subsidy scheme for residential energy renovation. Managed by myenergy (the national energy agency), it covers insulation works in lofts, walls, and ground floors, as well as window replacement for primary residences.
QUASART is not a Klimabonus-certified body — we are a construction company that informs its clients about the grants available. For the exact conditions and current amounts, always consult myenergy.lu, the official source.
Lofts: grant based on the thermal resistance R achieved. Walls (EWI/IWI): grant based on the R achieved and the type of insulation. Bio-sourced materials may benefit from enhanced grants under the current criteria.
Ground floor: grant based on the R achieved. Windows: grant based on the Uw coefficient of the glazing. Primary residence and building age conditions apply.
Klimabonus amounts and conditions are periodically revised. This guide provides a general framework — for the exact amounts at the time of your project, consult myenergy.lu or book an appointment with a myenergy advisor.
Initiate your application BEFORE works begin. A post-works application may be rejected under the current rules.
QUASART provides the technical documents required for the application: product data sheets, R-value calculations, compliance certificates. Klimabonus applications must be submitted directly to myenergy.lu.
Note: QUASART does not handle Klimabonus applications. For all procedures, please contact myenergy.lu directly.
