Dekton ultracompact
Large slabs, fine joints, concealed fixings — the contemporary mineral facade par excellence.
Open-joint rhythm, shadow gaps, concealed fixings, millimetre panel layout — QUASART puts its execution at the service of the architect’s drawing, from concept phase to handover. Samples and mock-ups as standard.
On a fine project, the facade is not a work package: it is the signature. An open-joint rhythm that drifts, a shadow gap that varies by two millimetres, a panel layout that dies badly in a corner — and the drawing is betrayed. QUASART is built on one conviction: execution is the last line of defence of architectural intent. Our teams speak the language of design — panel layout, bond patterns, shadow gaps and standing seams, concealed fixings, soffits, fire compartmentation — because it is the only way to respect it.
Our involvement starts before site. At concept stage: feasibility review, priced system variants, target budget per material family. Before the production run: samples in hand, on-site mock-up panel, detail booklet validated with the architect. During execution: flatness and alignment self-checks, coordination with the facade engineer, joint inspections. We replace neither the architect nor the facade engineer — we are the contractor that executes their work at the level of their drawing.
Signature materials are our daily work: large-format Dekton ultracompact, pre-weathered standing-seam zinc, ventilated natural stone, terracotta, open-joint timber in larch or Accoya, Equitone panels. Based in Crauthem, we operate across the Grand Duchy and the Greater Region. Every project is covered by our AXA decennial insurance (policy 10/0214108). Large slabs, fine joints, concealed fixings — the contemporary mineral facade par excellence.
VMZINC, Aurubis — standing seam, cassettes, pre-weathered tones. The material of Kirchberg’s roofs and facades.
Clamped or on subframe, designed bond pattern, worked edges — mineral nobility as a ventilated facade.
Larch, Douglas fir, Accoya — open rhythm, concealed fixing, controlled pre-greying.
In the Grand Duchy, any change to the external appearance of a building visible from public space requires a municipal building permit. QUASART supplies the technical documents for the file — product data sheets, fire classifications, execution details, samples — in support of the architect, who remains in charge of the application.
guichet.public.lu →Yes — it is one of our most frequent architect requests. Horizontal or vertical open-joint cladding in larch, Douglas fir or Accoya, with the open rhythm defined at layout stage, black breather membrane behind the boards, rodent grilles and compliant cavity ventilation. The critical points of open-joint work are rhythm regularity and board-end management: we set them out by laser and validate them on a mock-up panel before the production run.
Systematically. Material and colour samples in hand from concept stage, then — on projects that demand it — a mock-up panel installed on site with the real layout, joints and fixings, signed off by the architect under the site’s own light before production. Approval happens on the real thing, never on a catalogue.
Yes, free of charge. We price system variants at sketch or preliminary design stage — for instance standing-seam zinc versus large-format panel versus open-joint timber — each with budget, procurement lead times, subframe constraints and fire classifications. The architect decides with full knowledge, early, while changing still costs nothing.
Yes. On projects with a facade engineer, we execute their detail booklets and contribute to technical coordination — load transfers, movement joints, singular points, interfaces with joinery. On projects without one, we bring the manufacturers’ proven technical solutions and have them validated by the architect. We never substitute for the design team: we serve it.
Six mastered families: large-slab Dekton ultracompact, standing-seam or cassette zinc and copper, ventilated natural stone, Moeding terracotta, open-joint timber (larch, Accoya), and large-format fibre cement and HPL panels (Equitone, Trespa). Each family covers several finishes, formats and fixing principles — visible, concealed, clamped. Selection happens on samples, according to architectural intent, exposure and budget.
