QUASART in the Fensch valley — renovation and MaPrimeRénov’ EWI

The Fensch valley — Yutz, Hayange, Fameck, Florange, Uckange, Terville — is one of the most dynamic residential and industrial basins of Moselle. With a major steelmaking heritage (former De Wendel factories in Hayange, ArcelorMittal Florange), the valley is undergoing deep transformation: brownfield reconversion, massive thermal renovation of the residential stock, enhancement of the workers’ heritage in preserved estates.

The energy renovation reservoir here is enormous. Pre-1950 workers’ estates, 1960-80s social housing and interwar single-family pavilions show poor or catastrophic thermal balances. Well-sized EWI — combined with the MaPrimeRénov’ scheme — enables owner-occupiers and social landlords to engage in ambitious works at acceptable cost. Lacquered steel metal cladding and timber-composite cladding are also highly requested for expressive requalifications.

QUASART has been working in the Fensch valley since 2021 under the European free provision of services regime — our decennial insurance (AXA — policy 10/0214108) and our intra-community VAT cover all works carried out in France. We bring Luxembourg standards of quality (premium materials, close architect coordination, execution rigour) to the French cross-border market — a differentiating positioning versus local companies.

Our specific expertise on workers’ estate requalification (solid brick or Jaumont stone fabric, heritage constraints, communal spaces) and MaPrimeRénov’ administrative support (subsidy file, CSTB technical compliance) are major assets. Based in Crauthem, we reach Yutz in 35 minutes via the A31 motorway — a distance that allows us to efficiently serve significant projects (collective housing, social landlord schemes, heritage ensembles).
